Outdoor Performance Pavilion

A community-focused outdoor performance pavilion designed to create a flexible destination for gathering, entertainment, and recreation within a park setting. The design embraces the site’s existing slope, transforming the natural topography into integrated landscape seating that brings the audience directly into the performance experience.

A boardwalk and waterside stage extend the program toward the pond, creating a dynamic setting for concerts, theatrical performances, group classes, and other community events. The pavilion’s sculptural modular columns establish a distinctive architectural identity while strategically organizing the structure to manage roof drainage, directing runoff toward the pond through a dedicated splash block.

The project provided an opportunity for close collaboration across multiple design disciplines, balancing the site’s topographic and technical demands with the functional needs of the client and broader community to create a space that is both performative and deeply connected to its landscape.
